Cornell is located in Ithaca, a beautiful city in New York. To travel to our campus, there are many options. Ithaca's airport has daily flights to and from Charlotte, NC, Detroit, MI, Philadelphia, PA, and Washington, D.C. Students may also choose to fly into Syracuse, NY—an hour from the campus.
Ithaca is a 4-hour drive from New York City. Several bus services operate daily routes between Ithaca and New York City.
2. What are the winters like?
Ithaca has a four-season climate. The winters at Cornell are beautiful, temperatures in January range from 31-33° F /-0.5-1.5° C. Appropriate clothing and gear is a must.
3. How safe is the campus?
The campus is very safe with a dedicated campus police department and special services like blue-light phones all over campus for emergency situations.
